The Rain Finally Stops
We’ve had almost 5 inches of rain in the last week and haven’t seen the sun since I don’t know when. But today the sun finally reappeared and I took the opportunity to head for Table Mountain.
Things are wet and the creeks are flowing and that makes for good waterfall viewing.
Last year at this time the flowers were past their prime.
Right now there are less flowers and they’re smaller than they were last year.
I don’t know if all the rain has just caused them to come on later or if it’s not going to be as good a year for wild flowers.
I found a number of small patches and the flowers are still pretty.
However, I walked 5 miles to get these pictures.
Isn’t it amazing where a thing of beauty will grow?
I love to try and get poppies, indian paintbrush and lupines all together. It’s not always easy.
No, it’s not Scotland. It’s California.
