I have been wanting to make a trip to Alaska for several years. Trips like this are one of the reasons I decided to retire. You can't drive to Alaska and back in a couple of weeks. We were planning to go last summer but we decided it would probably be better to stick around for Heidi's wedding. Now it's finally time to go!
Why Alaska you say? My hobbies are travel and photography (primarily landscapes) and where could you go with a trailer and get more of either?
The goal is to camp in some beautiful places and take some incredible pictures and the bar is set pretty high. I have included some recent examples.
There is another fringe benefit to this trip, friends and family. We will be visiting with numerous loved ones along the way and in Alaska. We will also spend a little time in our old stomping grounds of Northern British Columbia. So, let the journey begin! We'll be leaving on July 15.
