We are taking US 50 about half way across the country. It’s known as the “loneliest road in America” and I would say that’s pretty accurate. That’s why I like it, no traffic!
OK, now you’ve seen Nevada. Outside of Reno or Las Vegas this is pretty much what you see.
There was a lot of this brush in bloom along the road. That was pretty.
There are a few remnants of the pony express. However the lady on the left is not one of them.
There are a few small cowboy kind of towns complete with cowboy kind of casino’s.
There’s a ranch here and there. Most do not have a nice antler gate like this one.
Then after we stop for the night right on the Utah border, we have the sun setting over Great Basin National Park. The peak on the left, Wheeler Peak, is 13,063 feet. The highway took us as high as 7600 feet today.
Tomorrow is another day and another state.
