Sittin on top of the world

We left Myrtle Beach today but not before taking care of one last item. We needed a ride on the new 200’, $14 million Skywheel.

 

It’s the same one that was all lit up by the beach when we got here.

 

Every gondola is air conditioned  and we got one to ourselves.

 

You get a birds eye view of Myrtle Beach in both directions.

 

We altered our plans a bit today and instead of heading back to the Blueridge Parkway we went up the coast to Emerald Isle, North Carolina where Connie’s cousin and her husband own a vacation home/rental.

 

The house is rented at the moment but we got all cleared to park in the drive way a couple of nights. So tomorrow will be just a little r&r on the beach.

 

Oh, did I forget to mention that it’s right on the beach. That’s it right behind Connie.

 

Here is the view from my chair. It’s overcast and as I post the blog it’s raining but it’s still 75 degrees out at 9:30.
